Automation Tester

Job brief

Automation testers are responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated tests that can verify a software project's functionality and performance.

They may be called upon to build test cases from scratch or modify existing ones using various test frameworks and programming languages.

Responsibilities

• Automation testing across various technologies and product sets
• Design and build automation test frameworks.
• Bug verification and tracking and fixing.
• Test preparation, test design, execution and reporting.
• Defect management lifecycle exposure (using Azure board) from defect reporting tool.
• Track and publish the status or development, maintenance and execution of automation test suits.
• Work as a key member of the Delivery Team to understand requirements and technical solutions under test.
• Work with manual testers, developers and SME's to understand the business domain, and the system functionality.
• Utilize the approved test automation frameworks to develop automation in a fast paced agile environment.

Requirements and skills

• Minimum of 3-5 years' relevant experience as a software tester with proven experience in defining and leading QA cycles
• Experience in functional testing of transactional business applications is essential.
• Experience with selenium, cypress.
• Good to have knowledge of load testing using load runner or other similar tools.
• Experience with Java/python for test automation.
• Strong understanding of software product development and QA lifecycles.
• A track record of successful project completion working in a team environment.
• Familiarity with Agile & DevOps methodologies
