About the Role:

Looking for an experienced Automation Tester to join our quality assurance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing automated tests, identifying issues, and working closely with developers to ensure high-quality software releases. The Automation Tester will use testing frameworks and tools to improve test efficiency and effectiveness.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, design, and maintain automated test scripts using appropriate tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, TestNG, JUnit, etc.).
• Perform test automation for functional, regression, and performance testing of applications.
• Collaborate with developers and product managers to understand requirements and write test cases.
• Execute automated test scripts and analyze the results to detect and troubleshoot issues.
• Report defects and track their resolution, providing feedback to development teams.
• Continuously improve the automation framework and testing processes.
• Monitor and enhance the performance of automated test suites.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of test plans, scripts, and results.
• Contribute to the design and architecture of the testing framework.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure the quality and efficiency of automation scripts.
• Ensure high-quality software through the use of automated testing tools and techniques.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience as an Automation Tester, Quality Assurance Engineer, or similar role.
• Proficiency in automation tools like Selenium, Appium, Cucumber, Test Complete, etc.
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Ruby and JavaScript.
• Knowledge of testing methodologies, including agile testing practices.
• Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Knowledge of performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner is a plus.
• Strong understanding of databases and the ability to write SQL queries for testing purposes.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in mobile automation testing.
• Familiarity with cloud-based and docker testing platforms.
• Experience with testing APIs and web services using tools like Postman or REST Assured.
