Summary of Role: Responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing Hetero’ s computer networks to ensure seamless connectivity and security, include installing and configuring network hardware and software, monitoring system performance, managing user access, and implementing security measures such as firewalls and encryption, also diagnose and resolve network issues, perform regular backups, and ensure compliance with IT policies. Additionally, may collaborate with other IT professionals to plan network upgrades and integrate new technologies. Strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and knowledge of protocols like TCP/IP, VPN, and LAN/WAN are essential for this role to ensure reliable and efficient network operations. Should have a passion for Network/Security technologies, a strong analytical mindset and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

- Design, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN, VPN, Wi-Fi, and VoIP networks.
- Install and manage routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers (Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, Aruba, Palo Alto).
- Monitor network performance, bandwidth usage, and latency using tools like SolarWinds, PRTG, or Wireshark.
- Troubleshoot network outages, connectivity issues, and performance bottlenecks.
- Implement and enforce network security policies to protect sensitive data.
- Configure and manage firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM solutions, and endpoint security.
- Ensure compliance with GxP (GMP, GLP, GCP), FDA, and EU Annex 11 regulations.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits.
- Administer cloud networking (AWS VPC, Azure Virtual Network, Google Cloud).
- Implement site-to-site VPNs, SD-WAN, and Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA).
- Optimize network scalability, redundancy, and disaster recovery (DR) strategies.
- Manage data center networking, including VLANs, SAN/NAS, and fiber channel.
- Support VMware/Hyper-V virtualization environments for network segmentation.
- Ensure high availability (HA) and failover clustering for critical applications.
- Work with IT, cybersecurity, and compliance teams to ensure network integrity.
- Maintain network diagrams, SOPs, and change management logs.
- Provide Level 2/3 support for network-related incidents.
- Work closely with software developers and system administrators.
- Perform other job-related duties as may be assigned or required.
Experience & Skills:
- 10+ years of relevant hands-on technical experience
- 6+ years technical experience with a Global data centers and technical teams.
- Proficiency in Cisco IOS/NX-OS, Aruba, and network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLAN, QoS).
- Experience with firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point), VPNs, and NAC solutions.
- Knowledge of cloud networking (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and SD-WAN.
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios, Wireshark).
- Understanding of FDA 21 CFR Part 11, EU GMP Annex 11,.
- Experience in validated systems and GxP documentation.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes, ticketing systems, Monitoring tools (Manage Engine, SolarWinds).
- Must have demonstrated ability to plan, execute, and monitor multiple projects.
- Experience in administration of multiple global data centers
- Excellent communication skills, strong with English language a must
- Must be very organized, able to multi-task on several projects and priorities.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in network administration, preferably in pharma, biotech, or healthcare.
- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or CISSP are a plus.
