About The Role

We are looking for a highly motivated Associate Test Engineer to join our Software Testing/QA team. This is an excellent opportunity for early-career professionals passionate about software quality assurance, testing automation, and ensuring high-quality product deliveries. The ideal candidate should have a strong grasp of manual and automated testing, good problem-solving skills, and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with the development and QA teams to understand project requirements and create detailed test cases.
• Perform manual testing, including smoke testing, functional testing, regression testing, and UI testing.
• Develop and execute automated test scripts using Java, Selenium, and TestNG under the guidance of senior QA engineers.
• Conduct API testing to validate backend functionalities using tools like Postman.
• Perform database testing using SQL to validate data integrity and correctness.
• Assist in performance testing using JMeter and report key performance metrics.
• Identify, document, and track software defects in the bug tracking system.
• Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Follow agile and Scrum methodologies, actively participating in sprint planning and retrospective meetings.
• Stay updated with the latest testing tools and best practices to enhance the QA process.
  
  

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 1 to 3 years of experience in software testing
• Experience in manual and automated testing methodologies.
• Familiarity with Java, Selenium, and TestNG for automation.
• Understanding of SQL queries for database validation.
• Exposure to API testing tools like Postman.
• Basic understanding of CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions /Jenkins
• Exposure to performance testing using JMeter
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Eagerness to learn new testing tools and techniques.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  
  

Preferred Skills (Good To Have)

• Experience or knowledge of ETL testing and Dashboard visualization testing.
• ISTQB certification or other relevant certifications.
