Role description
Job Title: Big Data Architect
Experience: 12+ years
Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced Big Data Architect proficient in AWS, Kafka, Debezium, and Spark. The ideal candidate will lead the optimization of queries, data synchronization, and performance tuning, particularly in cloud environments, and assist in disaster recovery solutions and reporting simplifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Optimize query performance, focusing on Oracle/SQL and dashboard queries.
- Resolve data synchronization issues using Kafka/Debezium.
- Enhance Spark batch job performance, reducing execution time.
- Implement AWS-native DR solutions (DMS, Kinesis).
- Improve system performance with minor enhancements and optimizations.
- Simplify reports and integrate CI/CD pipelines with AWS Athena.
Required Skills:
- 12+ years of experience in Big Data architecture.
- Expertise in AWS services (DMS, Kinesis, Athena, S3, Redshift).
- Proficiency in Debezium, Kafka, Spark, and query optimization.
- Strong experience in Big Data frameworks (Hadoop, Hive, Athena).
- Familiarity with CI/CD processes and DevOps integration.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience migrating Dremio to Athena.
- Knowledge of cloud-native DR solutions and performance optimization
