Android Mobile App Developer

Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Producing fully functional mobile applications

• Supporting the entire application lifecycle (concept, design, test, release, and support)

• Designing interface to improve user experience

• Troubleshooting and debugging to optimize performance

• Implementation of automated testing platforms and unit tests

• Liaising with the Product development team to plan new features

• Working closely with colleagues to constantly innovate app functionality and design

• Researching and proposing new mobile products, applications, and protocols

• Staying up to date with technology trends

• Interacting with clients to get their feedback

Technical Skills

• At least 4-6 years’ experience of developing mobile applications on Android (Kotlin)

• Understanding of Android and Apple’s design principles and interface guidelines

• Familiarity with OOP design principles

• Understanding of common design patterns - MVC, MVVM, MVP

• Hands on experience working with remote data via REST APIs, JSON, XML

• Familiarity with Room and SQLite

• Experience with third-party libraries and APIs

• Familiarity using Scrum/Agile development methodologies

• Familiarity with CI/CD

• Must have development experience on both tablets and phones

• Hands on experience with in-app purchases

• Familiarity with AR and AI is a big plus
