We are currently seeking an experienced Android Developer to join our team at Quest Global in Bangalore. As an Android Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality mobile applications for our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
- Work with outside data sources and APIs
- Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability
- Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices in Android development
Requirements:
- Proven working experience in Android app development
- Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services
- Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
- Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
- Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
- Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
- Familiarity with continuous integration
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Android app development
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
