Job Description – Android Developer (Kotlin)

Role: Android Developer
Experience Required: 4 to 8 years
Job Type: Full-Time
Work Location: Kochi (Onsite)

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain Android applications using Kotlin and Android SDK.
• Utilize Android Studio, Jetpack components, and best coding practices to create efficient and scalable applications.
• Integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services to enhance application functionality.
• Work with Firebase for real-time data storage, push notifications, and authentication.
• Optimize application performance, UI/UX, and memory usage for smooth user experience.
• Troubleshoot and resolve bugs, crashes, and performance issues.
• Follow Agile development methodology and participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging.
• Keep up to date with emerging Android technologies and contribute to continuous improvement.

Required Skills:

✅ Proficient in Kotlin with strong experience in Android development.
✅ Strong knowledge of Android SDK, Jetpack (ViewModel, LiveData, Room, Navigation, etc.).
✅ Hands-on experience with Android Studio and Gradle.
✅ Experience integrating APIs, Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Analytics, Push Notifications, Crashlytics, etc.).
✅ Strong understanding of UI/UX principles and Material Design guidelines.
✅ Familiarity with Git version control and CI/CD pipelines for Android deployment.
✅ Experience with unit testing and debugging Android applications.
✅ Good knowledge of memory management, performance optimization, and security best practices.

Preferred Skills (Good to Have):

• Experience with Coroutines, Flow, RxJava for asynchronous programming.
• Familiarity with Compose UI for modern Android development.
• Exposure to Cloud-based deployments and DevOps tools.
