Job Description

We are looking for a passionate and motivated Test Automation Trainee to join in QA team. This role involves learning and working on test automation frameworks using Java and Selenium. The ideal candidate should have a basic understanding of programming concepts, software testing, and automation tools. This is planned to be done as an Internship and convert to employee at the end of Internship based on their performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Learn and work on Selenium WebDriver with Java for automation testing.
• Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining automation test scripts for web applications.
• Execute and analyse automated test cases and report defects.
• Assist in writing and executing test cases based on software requirements.
• Identify, document, and track software defects using bug-tracking tools.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum meetings and provide input on testing efforts.
• Collaborate with developers, testers, and product teams to understand application requirements.
• Gain exposure to TestNG, Cucumber (BDD), Maven, Git, and Jenkins for CI/CD automation.
• Understand and follow Agile/Scrum methodologies and participate in daily stand-ups.
• Learn and utilize Defect Management tools like Rally, Azure DevOps.
• Stay updated with latest automation trends and best practices.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Basic knowledge of Core Java (OOPs concepts, Collections, Exception Handling, File Handling, etc.).
• Understanding of Selenium WebDriver and its functionalities.
• Familiarity with TestNG or JUnit for test execution.
• Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and XPath for web element identification.
• Understanding of SDLC & STLC processes.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills and willingness to learn.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of Cucumber (BDD Framework).
• Experience with Git, Maven, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Basic knowledge of databases and writing simple SQL queries.
